What is Root Canal treatment?

When a cavity or infection gets to a tooth’s nerve or innermost layer, the patient feels pain. This pain gets worse when something cold or sweet.

During a root canal, infected or damaged tissue inside a tooth is taken out. After cleaning and disinfecting the tooth, we fill it and seal it.

Why are we the best for Root Canal treatment in Bhaynder, Mumbai?

At Ekdant Dental Care & Smile Care Centre, we offer a warm and friendly environment. So you can relax.

We also have digital x-rays that show how the bone, teeth, and lesions are doing. The best thing about this x-ray is that it takes x-rays right away while a root canal is being done. So the process goes faster and works better.

At Ekdant Dental Care & Smile Care Centre, we use the most up-to-date tools to do root canals, like the Endo motor- Xsmart and the Apex Locator- Root ZX. We can do more than one root canal in the same day.

What Can I Eat after Root Canal Treatment?

The effects of the anesthesia will last for about two to three hours. That means your gums, cheeks, lips, etc. will feel numb. After the procedure, you can drink liquids at room temperature right away.

Don’t eat or drink anything until the anesthesia has worn off. Because you might bite your lips or cheeks and end up with an ulcer. These sores are white and red patches that can hurt. They will be better in 3–5 days.

We usually tell our patients to eat before they come in for their procedure so that they won’t be hungry for the next two to three hours. Don’t drink tea or coffee that is too hot, because it could burn your tongue. When you’re under anesthesia, you don’t feel how hot or cold your lips and tongue are.

Day 1 opt for soft foods like rice, juices, idli, khichdi, soup, etc. Don’t eat nuts, carrots, chikki, and other hard foods.

You need to realise that your tooth needs some time to heal. After a root canal, it might hurt for a day or two, but it will get better. Avoid things that are too hard because they can make the pain worse. After we put the cap on, you can eat normal food again. After that, there is nothing to worry about.

Can I Brush After Root Canal Treatment?

Yes! After a root canal, you can brush like normal. You should keep that place clean. Please brush your teeth twice a day and use mouthwash. Brushing won’t hurt at all. So don’t worry and keep doing what you normally do to take care of your teeth.
